Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to sell you a digital product and get you access to it. We don't run ad trackers, we don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't load third-party scripts that watch you browse. This page explains exactly what happens with your data and why.

What we collect, and why

Payment and order information. When you buy something, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your card details and billing information directly — this site and its owner never see or store your full card number. We receive your email address and order details from Stripe so we can deliver your product and provide support. (Sales aren't open yet.)
Email address. Used to send your access link and license token after purchase, and to respond if you contact us. We don't add purchasers to a marketing list without a separate, clear opt-in.
Beta sign-ups. If you join the free beta, you give us your email address (and nothing else is required). We use it only to write to you about the beta: to tell you when a spot opens and to ask for your feedback. We receive it by email at our support mailbox, and where a list is kept it is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site. We send you one confirmation email, we don't sell or share the address, and we don't add you to anything else without a separate opt-in. To be removed, email [email protected] and we'll delete it. Sign-up forms use a hidden spam-check field and a short-lived, hashed record of your connection to limit abuse; your IP address itself is not stored or emailed to us.
The homepage coach preview. If you try the free coach on the homepage, the text you type is sent to Anthropic's Claude model, through our Cloudflare-hosted site, only to write the feedback you see. We do not store or log what you type. To keep the free tries fair, we keep a daily counter against a short-lived, hashed record of your connection; your IP address itself is not stored.
Product usage (inside The Prompt Forge itself). Your progress — XP, ranks, unlocked skills, notes — is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not uploaded to us. When you submit a prompt for AI coaching, that prompt text is sent to power the scoring feature and is processed only to generate your feedback.

What we don't do

We don't use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party trackers on this site.
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
We don't load fonts or other assets from third-party CDNs that could log your visit — the fonts on this site are hosted here, not fetched from Google or anyone else.
We don't require you to create an account or hand over more information than checkout needs.

Cookies and local storage

This site itself does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe's checkout page (hosted on stripe.com, not this domain) sets cookies necessary for processing your payment securely — see Stripe's own privacy policy below. If you purchase The Prompt Forge, the product uses your browser's local storage to save your game progress on your device; this is not a tracking cookie and is not accessible to other sites.

Third parties we rely on

All payments, including top-up runs purchased from inside The Prompt Forge, are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you open checkout in the game, your browser loads Stripe's checkout script from js.stripe.com. Stripe may use cookies and device information to process the payment and prevent fraud. The game loads nothing from Stripe until you open checkout. Reviewing Stripe's Privacy Policy is the best way to understand how they handle payment data.

Confirmation and receipt emails are sent through Resend, our email delivery service, which receives the recipient address and message for that purpose only.

AI coaching inside the product is generated by Anthropic's Claude models, used solely to score and respond to the prompts you submit. Your prompts reach Anthropic through a proxy we run on Cloudflare, which also hosts this site and the product. We do not read, log, or store the content of your prompts or the responses.

If you email us at [email protected] with a question or feedback, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. That email is received through Cloudflare and passed on to our mailbox. The game does not send us your player name, level, or progress with it.

How long we keep data

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and support purposes, and no longer than legally required. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold that isn't required for those purposes — see below.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond as promptly as we can.

Children's privacy

This site and its products are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
